AIMS Academy: Our School and Policies
Aims Academy will continue to ensure that all of the things that govern us and that keep us compliant, are maintained and kept up-to-date. What follows is information relating to our yearly calendar containing our events, both internally and externally, followed by our admissions policy and academy term dates, which we believe will help you to keep a track of important dates for your family planning.
This is followed up with what a typical 'school Day' looks like for the academy, and our policy on 'uniforms' including appropriate costs. As an inclusive academy we insure that all pupils have a school meal but if you prefer then arrangements have been made to facilitate those pupils that bring lunch into school.
To conclude this section clearly lays out our policy surrounding 'attendance' of all of our pupils.

AIMS Academy has an optional uniform policy. This information can be found below for those pupils who desire to embrace the school uniform. Despite this, we acknowledge the fact that school uniforms for some young people can feel unfitting for their diagnosis and special needs. Thus expression is increased as pupils have the choice to wear their own outfit which must be suitable and decent in the school setting.

Through cooperation with parents, as well as the Local Authority we seek to increase school attendance, collaboration being the key.
Prizes are handed to students during each half term as a token of appreciation for the past. Pupils that reach 100 per cent attendance have a voucher of £25 as well as a postcard sent home for their share of the success, and pupils with attendance above 95% receive a £15 voucher and a postcard to appreciate them.
